People who have their tonsils, AND experience post nasal drip are at least 10 times more likely to have white lumps on the tonsils than the average person without the problem.

This is usually the fancy name given for the accumulation of excess mucous that gathers in the back of the throat (and tonsils). The proteins in mucous are actually a food source for the bacteria responsible for tonsil stones, therefore the more mucous in the back of the throat, the larger the possibility of developing tonsiloliths.

If you feel like you very often have to clear your throat (or have something stuck in the back of your throat), then you are probably dealing with this specific issue.

It can be very difficult to control – many people use antihistamines or other nasal decongestants which only offer temporary relief. It is estimated that 50-60% of the world population must deal with this problem on a semi-regular basis.

The most effective way I’ve found to combat this problem that is one of the ROOT CAUSES of tonsil stones is to rinse/gargle with an oxygenating solution designed to neutralize those sulfur producing anaerobic bacteria.

To learn more about tonsil stones, post nasal drip and other causes of bad breath, I highly recommend taking a moment to download a free ebook called The Bad Breath Bible. This highly educational ebook, written by Dr. Harold Katz, tells you everything you need to know about the various aspects of bad breath, and how to stop them.
