Tonsilith
Tonsilith is yet another common misspelling of tonsillolith. There are thousands of this misspelling all over Google. You can't trust various medical dictionaries online if they can't even spell the term right!
A word of advice is to never crush up a tonsil stone because it smells awful. Some people go through surgery to have their tonsils removed in order to get rid of tonsilloliths, but this is not necessary. If you don't have the sensitive gag reflex, you could even use a Q-tip to help ease out the tonsil stones. Also, some people have their tonsil stones lasered off. If you go to a good ENT (Ears, Nose, and Throat) doctor, lasering your tonsil stones can take ten minutes and you may only have a minor sore throat for a day. You may also gargle with hydrogen peroxide and suck them out with an eye dropper. Good luck!
