Tonsilolith, Tonsiloliths
Click here to learn about the specific method I used to get rid of my tonsil stones and bad breath
Tonsilolith is yet another common misspelling of tonsillolith. As we previously discussed, tonsilloliths are lumps in the tonsils that are small, hard, and white. They vary in size and often remain lodged in the tonsillar region for a certain duration of time until they become dislodged. Bacteria produce sulfur compounds that release a bad smell, thus causing bad breath. Tonsil stones are generally not really affected by toothbrushing, oral rinse, breath sprays, or mints. Generally, tonsil stones have to be removed manually. However, if you use mouthwash regularly, you can reduce the amount of bacteria being produced in the tonsillar region, thus reducing the odor and perhaps help knock the tonsil stones out of place. Since material can easily become lodged in the tonsillar area, this is often why tonsil stones form. Dead skin cells and other debris accumulate in this area, allowing bacteria, especially the anaerobic kind that cause bad breath, to form.
